art fag city » the shape of things to come a bleak outlookNotably, this was not the case in Project Runway, where judges regularly noted influence and reference. They also complained if designers made work too obviously influenced by better known designers. Season One's Missoni inspired swimsuit . It's deceptive, and everyone worked their butts off. Openly gay fashion designer Jay McCarroll is best known for winning the first season of the Bravo reality series Project Runway. However, he also chose to turn down his prize, which included $100,000 and studying under the Banana Republic clothing chain to help develop his own fashion label. This was due to his objection to a clause in the contract, which stipulated that the Project Runway production company would permanently own 10% of every professional business venture he started. In a recent article published by New York magazine, he stated that he was poor enough to be homeless, and that he slept at other people’s houses. He also said that he tended to fall asleep in his work space, completely inebriated.
However, he later turned around on his statements, claiming that he was making them all up. A YouTube clip he made of himself supposedly parodies this, which shows him looking like a mess, and carrying around a cardboard sign boldly declaring “WILL DESIGN FOR FOOD.” He now states that what he said in the magazine interview was mostly a prank and a joke, and that he was, in his own words, “Just having fun.” He says that the article author’s main point, which was how hard it is for reality show contestants to find success, was turned upside down.
His publicist also spoke and said that her client actually lived on the West Side of Manhattan, in a decent studio apartment. She previously stated that “It might not be ideal, but it is more than a lot of people have in New York City.” She also added that McCarroll was quite capable of paying his rent every month. Later on, she confirmed and acknowledged that his statements in the interview were mostly meant as jokes. The article of the New York article later shared audio transcripts of the interview, where in McCarroll claimed that he was envious of other people who lived in apartments.

it wouldn't be that hard to make one, you could call local lumber companies ahead of time and ask if they would be willing to donate anything to your cause [assuming it's a fundraiser or something].
I requested a membership about 3 days ago and just got mine yesterday. So I'd say about 2 days. If it takes longer than 2 weeks I would try and register again. Good luck
Build one yourself, get wood at Home Depot or Lowe's
anything, but fluorescent….. colored lights might be cool.
Try Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey. They use it to film Top Gear and might lease it for your purposes…
If you're going to rent a system, then the company you rent it from should be able to come and set it up for you. Depending on whether there's anywhere to hang the lights from, they may have to put up truss or scaffolding – and if you don't know what you're doing that can be very dangerous. Phone around local lighting hire companies, tell them what you're wanting to achieve and they should be able to give you a quote.
Borrow A Dress Couture http://www.shopbadc.com –A Chicago based dress rental boutique that ships dresses across the U.S. as well. You can check out the inventory on the website! Good luck!
Actually, I've Tried Rent The Runway.
It's Amazing.
They Have Adorable Dresses & They Send Them To You In Two Different Sizes.
You Get Put On A Waiting List, But It Only Takes About 2 Weeks.
Also, You Can Have An Internet Chat With Live Workers Who Give You Ideas For What You're Looking For.
It's Definatly Worth It & Not A Scam.
Have A Great Day.
